Best for Engraving
Crisp lines and clean silhouettes engrave beautifully — Too many gradients makes the image lose it's character.
Simple silhouettes stay sharp and clear from far.
Soft gradients don't translate on most colors.
Best for Vinyl Transfer
Vivid, sharp art with bold flat shapes shines in vinyl — tiny text and fine gradients don't hold up.
Sharp black & white images work best. Not too many details - just enough to make it pop.
Tiny detail flakes and peels Since the vinyl binders are done by hand, the tiny details are simply not possible.

There's no pressure and no rush; it's a friendly back-and-forth until we land on something you're excited about.
Engraving gently etches your design straight into the cover for a subtle, tactile, tone-on-tone look, while vinyl transfer layers bright, colorful artwork on top for a bold pop. You can see both styles side by side in our portfolio — and if you're torn, we're always happy to help you pick.
Since every binder is made one by one right here in our little studio, custom pieces typically takes about 1 to 2 weeks from finalized design to shipping. It all depends on our stock and work load. We'd rather take our time and get every detail just right than rush your one-of-a-kind piece — and we'll keep you posted along the way.

Lots of customers pair a subtle engraved monogram with a colorful vinyl-transfer illustration, or blend a couple of colors for extra personality.
